In this cyber age, teachers need to embrace the new advantages that the electronic world can offer. To this end, I have a two-part online portfolio. This section includes most traditional paper portfolio information organized onto various tabs.
Included in this section of the portfolio are my teaching philosophy statement, my resume and supplementary documents, and sample unit plans and typed work from both my elementary and secondary teaching experiences.
I have also made a "professional" Facebook account. With students becoming more and more immersed in the digital world, I want to create an outside school method of contacting me which they may consider more informal and/or fun. As such, I have created a Facebook account which I hope to use in the future to ask English grammar questions and hold contests. I will alter it as need be.
